Give God Thanks

     We live in a generation that is described in 2 Tim. 3:2 as "unthankful". Many of the gifts in our lives we consider to be entitlements or wages. Our Lord does not owe us anything he hasn't willingly promised by His grace. We haven't earned His love, mercy, peace, joy, or kindness. He bestows them to us because it pleases Him to do so. 

     May we take an inventory of our lives and count the many sundry gifts that our Lord has given us through His son Jesus Christ. For every good gift and every perfect gift comes down to us from the Father of lights. (James 1:17) 

Then after we have had the opportunity to think about those gifts, may we express our thankfulness and love to The Giver of these gifts. To disregard the gifts or to attribute them to someone or something that had no part in giving them is to be unthankful. It also gives glory that belongs unto God unto another. 

     Be a part of the salt of the earth that preserves it from condemnation and wrath by being thankful for all the things in your life that God has given by His grace. Especially the people He has blessed you with. 

     Philippians 4:6 states "Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayers and supplication WITH THANKSGIVING let your request be made known unto God."
